"In average, the value of SMP 2015/2016 school year decline. However, there is no longer such a thing pass and do not pass, it's just that we see the value obtained student concerned whether completed or not completed," said Head of Education and culture (Dikbud) Sultra Damsid in Kendari, as reported by Antara on Saturday (06/11/2016).
Damsid said UN Junior value equal incomplete this year could reach 30 percent of the total of 46 245 participants. Kemdikbud himself set the standard value of 5.5.
"Fortunately, there's been a policy of the government that there is no longer such a thing pass and do not pass," he said.
According to him, if they use the standard passing score, so this year junior high school students in Southeast Sulawesi, many do not pass, can reach up to 30 per cent of UN participants. "But right there is no such thing as a passing grade for all students graduated from their respective schools policy is no longer the standard of value," he said.
Damsid concerned about the decline in the average value of UN SMP obtained by such learners, in terms of the quality of education is currently the junior level has decreased. "Actually, we also do not yet know what caused the decline in the value obtained students, but we will do some research to find out what the cause for future improvements," he said
