AGS Transmission SUZUKI IGNIS manual and auto gear shift (AGS)
Suzuki Ignis sold in Indonesia has two transmission options, namely manual and auto gear shift (AGS). Transmission is the same with cheap cars (low cost green car / LCGC) such as Karimun Wagon R.
In India, the Suzuki Ignis automatic version also uses AGS transmission. What is the reason PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) still use the AGS system?
Donny Saputra (4W Marketing Director of PT SIS) explains that, the step is a feature strategy that continues to be maintained by Suzuki. In fact, it is believed to be well received by the people of Indonesia and the world.
It can even be believed that in terms of performance will still be qualified, because the Suzuki Ignis is driven with a 1,197 cc engine capable of producing power 83 ps at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.

"This transmission has been used also in Karimun Wagon R, so we sure can be accepted like Karimun Wagon R," Donny said at the launch of Ignis event in South Jakarta. In addition, the transmission system can be an option to add efficient fuel oil (BBM). AGS also allows for riders to more easily drive when there is traffic jams.
