Luis Salom, First Victims in Catalunya
Spaniard Luis Salom died at the Circuit de Catalunya when carrying out the second free practice session on Friday (06/03/2016). The accident was recorded as the first death rider at the Catalunya Circuit.
Luis Salom was born in Palma de Mallorca, August 7, 1991. As a racer in the grand prix, he began his career on the track in the 125cc class in 2009 and had tested the Kalex-KTM Moto3 together.
The best achievement ever made Salom was captured third place in the final standings Moto3 season of 2013. In the same season, the drivers, known as El Mexicano his first victory at the Losail Circuit, Qatar.
This season, Salom is ranked 10th Moto2 standings with a collection of 37 points from six series that has lived, including two podium at the Qatar Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, Salom was recorded as the drivers all 103 who died on the track throughout the Grand Prix motorcycle that started 1949. Recently, the deadly accident claimed the life of Marco Simoncelli in 2011.
